Originating from the grand courts of the Maharajas of Patiala, who were renowned for their unparalleled hospitality and extravagant lifestyle, a Patiala Peg is roughly three times the volume of a standard pour. It became synonymous with bold, unapologetic celebration and the spirit of Punjabi generosity.
We founded Sharab Spirits to honor this exact tradition. We didn’t just want to create another spirit; we wanted to capture the essence of desi daru (the traditional village spirit) and elevate it to a premium, globally respected liquor.

Countless trials were conducted to perfect the infusion of real jaggery, cardamom, and cloves, ensuring the 43% ABV carried the traditional spices perfectly without being overpowering.

Crafted carefully in Vaughan, Ontario, Patiala Peg was introduced to the Canadian market, successfully bridging the gap between Eastern heritage and Western distillation.
